Join our dedicated and professional team as an Admissions Officer!

We are looking for a highly motivated and capable colleague to join us on a permanent, full-time contract. This exciting and varied role will have specific responsibility for delivering a high-quality admissions service for courses offered by the Institute of Education. As part of our busy central Admissions department, you will work collaboratively with academic colleagues and other professional services departments, playing a key role in managing a timely, efficient and fair admissions process that delivers an excellent applicant experience.

As an Admissions Officer, you will process admissions decisions for a range of UK and international applications and take responsibility for processes such as data tasks and interview bookings. You will provide support and guidance to academic colleagues, applicants and enquirers throughout the application cycle. You'll also have the chance to be involved in admissions processes for other course areas and to help with a range of other activities, including delivering staff training and representing the University at Open Days and recruitment Exhibitions.

As part of the role there may be opportunities to support work in different areas of the department or the wider Communications, International and External Affairs division.

The ideal candidate will be exceptionally well organised, with a high degree of self motivation, and have excellent customer service. You will bring effective decision making skills, with the ability to apply complex regulations with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in your work. You will be a strong team player, adaptable and have a proactive approach to problem solving. Our work is fast paced and high volume, so remaining calm and resilient will be key to success.

We are committed to helping the people who work here to develop. We provide all professional staff with CPD opportunities and the encouragement to reach their full potential. With hundreds of professional jobs in a wide range of areas, there are plenty of options for you to build your career at the University.

Benefits include:
- Annual incremental increase up to £30,378, with the opportunity to progress to £32,080
- 34 days of leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays and University closure days) rising to 39 total days after 5 years' continuous service
- Attractive Company Pension Scheme
- Access to a range of benefits including our Staff Retail Benefits Scheme
- Wellbeing advice and support through our Employee Assistance Programme
- In-house training and development support
- A friendly, inclusive and supportive culture and work environment

Please note that this post does not meet the minimum salary requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route. We are therefore unable to consider applicants for this post who will require sponsorship to work in the UK.

If not already an employee of the University of Worcester, the appointed candidate will be employed through the subsidiary company Uniworc Limited. Appointees will automatically be enrolled into the Aviva FlexHE defined contribution pension scheme (subject to earnings and other eligibility criteria).
