Join our Careers and Employability team and play a pivotal role in helping students, graduates and researchers realise their potential, make confident career decisions and develop the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world of work.

Through one-to-one guidance appointments, interactive workshops and engaging presentations, delivered both in person and online, you will empower students to explore opportunities, build confidence and take positive steps towards their future careers.

Working collaboratively across the University, you will develop strong partnerships with academic colleagues and take a lead role in supporting courses within the College of Creativity, Technology and Society. By embedding employability and career development within the curriculum and wider student experience, you will help ensure that every student has access to the knowledge, networks and opportunities needed to succeed.

This role is central to the University's Distinctively Brighton 2035 strategy, championing employability, enterprise and career planning as key elements of the student journey. Through your work, you will make a tangible difference to students' aspirations, outcomes and future success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide careers information, advice and guidance to students and graduates.
- Deliver engaging employability workshops and presentations.
- Support students with career planning and decision-making.
- Build effective partnerships with academic schools and support services.
- Work collaboratively to ensure coordinated student support and timely referrals.

About You:

- Experienced careers guidance or employability professional.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Passionate about supporting student success and graduate outcomes.

This role is offered on a fixed term contract for 12 months, and is 22.0 hours per week. We welcome applications from candidates seeking to job share. Whilst the nature of the role means a high percentage of the role will need to be carried out on campus, there is some option for home working, which can be arranged with your manager based on the needs of the role.
