Our Student Ambassadors are looked after by our friendly, approachable and student-focused Marketing Team and play a crucial role within UWL, working closely with the Events, Recruitment and Outreach Teams. Student Ambassadors act as a friendly first point of contact for students and guests at UWL, providing in-person support and guidance and helping them access the information and services they need.
Through a welcoming, proactive, and supportive approach, Student Ambassadors help deliver inclusive and high-quality services that ensure students and guests feel valued, connected, and supported throughout their time at the university.
This job is available to all levels of UWL students (including students from all schools, Foundation and Master's students).
Student Ambassadors are employed by the University to support a variety of events and to promote the institution across the UK. This includes Open Days, corporate events, HE Fairs, school visits and awards ceremonies. As a Student Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to gain a wealth of work experience, meet new people and represent the University at a variety of important events.
You will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service during each role you take on, promoting the University to a diverse range of guests. The hours are extremely flexible and full training will be given by our welcoming and friendly teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as a friendly first point of contact for students and guests
- Provide in-person support and guidance to help visitors access information and services
- Deliver inclusive and high-quality customer service at events
- Promote the University to a diverse range of guests in a professional, friendly and approachable manner
- Support Open Days, corporate events, HE Fairs, school visits, awards ceremonies and graduation events
Requirements:
- Must be a current UWL student (all levels and schools welcome, including Foundation and Master's)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to use initiative and work as part of a team
- Highly motivated and passionate about the University
- Professional, friendly and approachable manner at all times
Key dates:
- Interview days: Tuesday 3rd November and Wednesday 4th November 2026 (online, between 10am–4pm)
- Training Days: Tuesday 10th November, plus one additional day (TBC)
- Open Day: Saturday 21st November 2026
- Graduation at Twickenham Stadium: 2nd–4th December 2026
Candidates must be available for all the above dates before applying. Full training will be provided.
